Beautifully remodeled family home in Dublin evokes moody blues

A family home was beautifully remodeled to cater to the lifestyles of its inhabitants by Dublin-based interiors studio , located in Ballsbridge, an affluent area of Dublin, Ireland. The remodel consisted of a 1950s semi-detached house and separate side flat that were merged together into one spacious home, while interior spaces were given a completely new layout that would work better for the family. The new, spacious layout features contemporary interiors with fluid circulation and a nice balance between shared family space and more adult spaces. The later includes a moody and glamorous home library, a concealed cocktail bar and a sophisticated master bedroom suite. Custom designed details can be seen throughout the interiors, from the molding on the walls and ceilings to the built-ins. No detail has been left out in this elegantly designed home and it seems that every view has been deliberately framed to capture the lush greenery that surrounds the property.

What you will notice in the interiors is that the designers applied of mix of styles from various eras to create a visually stimulating environment. This was done purposeful, where each space evokes a mood and transitions between spaces are very subtle. Spaces are open and airy and at the same time comfortable and light, making this a comfortable family home that adapts to the children’s evolving needs. Furnishings are a mix of salvaged vintage pieces, contemporary furnishings and lighting, and custom designed furnishings and light fixtures, which helps to achieve the style diversity that the designer was seeking.
