Dutch meets West Indies in this stylish Atlanta dream home

Architecture studio  worked with the designer and her family to cultivate their vision.

“The goal was to design a home that tells the same story inside and out,” states Kleinhelter. A beautiful stone pathway was created out of custom cement pavers, leading you up to a black painted doorway. The home features a circular theme that beings with the exterior facade and its arching windows and the round pavers for the pathway to the entrance. Inside, striking mirrored globe pendants can be seen hanging in the stairwell.

Since this is the designer’s personal abode, it was important for every space to be purposeful, catering to their lifestyle. Her husband is owner of , specializing in custom homes and renovations. They had already owned the property, but had previously lived in a high rise apartment.

The home had been a rental, but the time had come, five years in the making, for the couple and their young son, to make some roots. The historical neighborhood is filled with charming homes with plenty of character. Their dated duplex was torn down and in its place, they built this modern manor home from the ground up.
