Nashville residence beautifully designed for empty nesters

Designed by architecture studio , this transitional style home was designed for a couple of empty nesters, located in Nashville, Tennessee. The residence is nestled in an urban infill neighborhood, created to preserve mature growth trees and work within the topography. Each home constructed in this area is designed to be unique and different. The homeowners are a pre-retiree couple who were down-sizing from a larger family home.

This new dwelling encompasses 3,950 square feet of living space, designed to maximize an indoor-outdoor connection. This connection helps to bring in the surrounding landscape views as well as natural light. The concept for the interiors was an open and spacious floorplan with a harmonious flow throughout. The plan also included spaces for entertaining extended family and guests as well as daily living.

This residence also incorporates universal design principles and functions throughout. Continue on below for the complete visual home tour. Enjoy!

What We Love: This lovely home was designed for empty nesters, with living spaces that cater to their lifestyle needs. A spacious interior layout with soaring ceilings and expansive windows to maximize luminosity. Comfortable and stylish furniture groupings helps facilitate simple entertaining and enjoyable daily living.

The kitchen and the screened porch are our favorite spaces. The kitchen is the heart of the home, which makes its design important for the homeowners and their guests. The screened in porch is enjoyable for use all year round—and perfect for entertaining… Readers, please share with us what your favorite design features are in this home design in the comments below.

love this home and the open floor plan. I am interested in purchasing this floor plan as we are moving to the North Carolina area and plan to build. Who should I to inquire about the plans?
