Modern farmhouse inspired residence on a woodsy Seattle property

were responsible for the design of this spectacular modern farmhouse, located on a wooded property in a neighborhood of Seattle, Washington. The new constructed residence is nestled on a gently sloping, one-acre site, enjoying magnificent views of Lake Washington and the Cascades beyond. The home was designed to cater to the lifestyle of a growing family. Generous in size, it presents a low profile on the exterior facade facing the street.

Built into the hillside, the main living spaces on the first floor are accessed from the driveway, designed to take advantage of diagonal views towards Lake Washington. The daylight basement on the low side of the dwelling provides direct access to an expansive lawn, which runs the width of the property. A detached garage also takes advantage of the sloping site, offering parking on two levels.

Project Team: Design Architect: Peter Conard / Project Architect: Erik Voris / Interior Designer: Susan Marinello Interiors / Landscape Architect: Ken Philp Landscape Design / General Contractor: Krekow Jennings Inc

What We Love: This stunning modern farmhouse style dwelling offers its inhabitants comfortable yet stylishly designed living spaces in a tranquil setting. Lakeside views makes this home very idyllic, complimented by woods and a beautifully manicured lawn. Expansive windows not only helps to blur indoor-outdoor boundaries but also helps to create bright and airy living spaces… Readers, what do you think? Could you picture your family living in this home?
